High-Temperature Ceramic Coating
Ceramic-based finishes can be applied to a variety of surfaces, and provide durable protection from the elements. High-temperature ceramic coating is built to withstand the heat, which makes it a great option for automotive gear or manufacturing equipment.
Media Blasting
Our coating process begins with a thorough cleaning and preparation of the surface. We often use media blasting (or sandblasting) to prepare a surface intended for powder coating, ensuring that it is free of dust, dirt, rust, and paint. We also offer standalone sandblasting services. With proper media blasting, a layer of powder coating will have an optimal life span and a smooth exterior.
Laser Cleaning
Laser ablation is another method of preparation for metal surfaces that will be powder coated. The concentrated heat of the laser removes organic material like oil, paint, and rust from the surface of the metal without changing its texture. While this is typically a procedure we employ in the powder coating process, we also offer laser ablation services for cast iron pans or furniture, or any other metal parts.
Chemical Stripping
Chemical stripping is the third preparation option we employ to ensure readiness for powder coating. This method dissolves layers of oil, grease, paint, and powder coating by soaking in a heated stripping solution without removing any of layers of the base material. We use a 4'x6' tank heated to 175°F with a biodegradable formula that is more environmentally friendly than standard stripping solutions. We offer chemical stripping services for items that fit within the dimensions of our tank.
